Fabulous tag

Today I've got a tag to share with you.  At our apartment, our power goes out a lot.  What's a crafter to do without access to her Cricut or Cameo?  Well, I was cleaning out drawers and other assorted nooks and crannies where I've stashed craft things, and ran across some old hand cutting templates- including a couple of tags!  So I went old school and hand cut some tags for later use.  This one is on paper from a Basics stack from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby's store brand).  I punched the bottom part with a Fiskars edge punch.

I was also able to go through my Cricut handbooks to plan out my cut for the tag, and also add the washi tape (Target brand) to the bottom.  Then, when we had power again, I cut this cute dragonfly out of the Paisley cartridge.

I added some True Blue stickles to his wings, and also some Glam Pink to the hearts on his body.  Then I added two heart shaped gems over the stickled hearts (once they dried).  I stamped the sentiment from a Pink Paislee stamp set and popped the dragonfly up on foam squares.

The finishing touch was adding a little bit of black crinkle ribbon to the top of the tag.

Congrats

Today's card is a nice CAS card (we know how I love those!) with a Congratulations sentiment.  The paper is from Recollections, and I stamped the letters with Paper Smooches stamps.  I cut the ladybug from the button feature of the Paisley cartridge at .5 inches and at .75 inches because I wasn't sure which one would look better in place of the o.  Once I had the sentiment done, I decided to put the bigger ladybug up at the top corner.  Then I just tied some red twine below the sentiment and tied a little bow on it.

Vrooom

When I think of transportation cards, the first thing that comes to mind are masculine kinds of cards.  So I wanted to flip that on it's head and do a super girly transportation card.  I used the driving zebra cut from Paisley as the main image.  I used buttons for the centers of the wheels and Cotton Candy stickles in the center of the flower.  The background paper is embossed with the Paper Studio Quatrefoil embossing folder.  I am on a big embossing folder kick right now.

I also used purple and pink washi tape from WRMK on the top and bottom corners.  In person they look more defined, but I couldn't get a good picture of them for some reason.  The flower that I stamped on is actually just the flower from the car, cut at a bigger size.  I stamped with Jaded Blossom's Simple Sayings stamp in a wine colored ink on it.

I'm entering this into the Trains, Planes, and Automobiles challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

One elephant went out to play

The theme of my card today is: my new stuff!  Everything except the cardstock and the Lawn Fawn stamps are new things that I haven't used yet on a project.  :)

The elephant on this card is cut from Paisley at 3.5 inches.  Isn't she spunky?  I got Paisley on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $15!  I was so excited that day.  I stamped on her heinie with my new Versamark ink and Lawn Fawn's Jessie's ABCs.  I don't know how I didn't know about Versamark before.  I am loving it.  Even my husband thought it was pretty cool when I tested it out and showed him.

The yellow cardstock behind the elephant was embossed with a Quickcutz Flowers embossing folder, and the blue strip along the bottom is We R Memory Keepers washi tape.  She's popped up on some pop dots for a little extra depth.
