Hi crafty friends! Today's card is inspired by two challenges- to use a sketch and to use an animal cut with the Cricut. First, I decided to use a grey card base and all scraps of blue papers from my scraps bin to create the sketch background. Then I looked through my Cricut handbooks for just the right animal. A few months ago I bought the digital copy of Cricut Alphabet, and I love this cute dog, so I decided he was perfect.
I cut the shadow, the main image, and two copies of the shift image. One of the shift image was cut in the same yellow as the dog so that I could layer the ears and add some yellow stickles. The shift image was also cut on a piece of blue polka-dot paper for the collar.
The sentiment is from the Create a Valentine stamp set by My Craft Spot. I recently won this stamp set and was so excited to try it out! My Craft Spot stamps always stamp really well and I love the font of this stamp, which is one that is in a lot of the stamps I have from them. I stamped it in a dark blue color. I added the little wood veneer at the bottom for a finishing touch.
