Recently, we decided that we want to move. I'm particularly excited at the possibility of starting from scratch in organizing and decorating a whole new craft room! However, the prospect of finding a new home has been somewhat daunting. Trying to balance distance between families, jobs, and friends as well as taking things into account like taxes and school districts has been rough. Last week, we went for a drive to look at some houses, and I decided that we needed a binder to organize all of our papers.
I brought home an old three ring binder that I didn't need any more at work and wanted to make a nice paper to insert in the clear cover. When I do these, I like to use vellum as the main paper. I have a whole series of cookbooks that I made with a similar idea. Here I cut the words and letters from Birthday Bash. I cut the house and the dog from Create a Critter. The dog is Sophie. :) I used Cricut Craft Room to cut the tree from Sweethearts, because I wanted to leave off the hearts carved into the tree and make it a plain tree.
It was a little hit-or-miss on sizing. Did you know that when you cut the accessories on Create a Critter (in this case, the house) it cuts in relation to the main cut? I started out trying to cut the house at 4.5 inches, and it was HUGE! Live and learn, right?
And here it is in the binder! Ready to start organizing.
